Welder Outfitting Services, Shawn Welder

Welder Outfitting Services has been sharing the beauty and adventure of Colorado’s upper White River country since 1988. Family-owned and operated by Brian and Shawn Welder, this year-round recreation outfitting and guide service is built on tradition, hard work, and a deep respect for the land that sustains both wildlife and Western heritage. For more than three decades, the Welders have welcomed outdoor enthusiasts seeking authentic adventures in the White River National Forest and the vast Flat Tops Wilderness.

Rooted in strong conservation values, Welder Outfitting Services is committed to preserving Colorado’s wild landscapes for future generations. Every trip—whether on horseback, on the river, or in the backcountry—is conducted with thoughtful stewardship and respect for the natural resources that make this region so extraordinary.

Summer brings professionally guided fishing trips along the scenic upper White River, as well as scenic horseback rides through alpine meadows and timbered trails. In the fall, hunters pursue Colorado’s prized big game species with knowledgeable guides who understand the terrain, wildlife patterns, and fair-chase principles that define ethical hunting. When winter blankets the high country in snow, guests experience the thrill of guided snowmobile tours across breathtaking mountain landscapes.

What truly sets Welder Outfitting Services apart is their family-oriented atmosphere and hospitality second to none. Guests are treated like friends from the moment they arrive, supported by a seasoned team that takes pride in delivering safe, well-organized, and memorable experiences.

At Welder Outfitting Services, adventure is more than recreation—it’s a lifelong tradition. Whether casting a line, riding the trail, tracking big game, or exploring winter terrain, every visit is designed to create experiences of a lifetime in Colorado’s remarkable high country.
