Come visit Villa Ranch and experience the spirit of the Old West in Northwest Colorado. Here, wide-open skies stretch endlessly above rolling sage country, coyotes call at dusk, and campfires glow beneath brilliant stars. At Villa Ranch, hunting is more than a pursuit—it’s a way of life steeped in tradition, hospitality, and unforgettable adventure.

Your hosts, Kevin and Hanna Borchard, along with their experienced and dedicated staff, are passionate about creating a true Western experience for every guest. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be welcomed like family and cared for throughout your stay. Whether you leave with a trophy animal or simply the memories of an incredible hunt, our goal is to ensure your time here exceeds expectations. Bring your personal gear—we’ll handle the rest.

Situated on a 2,500-acre working cattle ranch in the heart of Colorado’s legendary elk country—home to the largest elk herd in North America—Villa Ranch offers prime habitat and exceptional hunting opportunities. The ranch becomes your private playground during your stay. Travel the ranch roads on horseback, by pickup, ATV, or on foot as you glass for elk and mule deer, check cattle, and explore diverse terrain. Portions of the property remain wild and untamed, offering a truly authentic backcountry feel.

Villa Ranch also borders the vast Windy Gulch Wilderness Study Area, a non-motorized landscape that provides additional opportunity for solitude and adventure. Between hunts, try your hand at throwing a lasso, gather around the campfire for cowboy songs, and immerse yourself in ranch life.

At Villa Ranch, exceptional service, Western heritage, and breathtaking Colorado scenery come together to create a hunting vacation filled with camaraderie, authenticity, and lifetime memories.
