Storm Peak Outfitters is a premier hunting outfitter based in Southwest Colorado in GMU 71 within the San Juan National Forest. Operating in the rugged San Juan Mountains, we specialize in high-quality elk, mule deer, and black bear hunts in some of Colorado’s most scenic and productive big game country.

Our goal is simple: provide an authentic Western hunting experience while maintaining a strong commitment to ethical hunting, wildlife conservation, and exceptional client service. Whether hunters choose a fully guided hunt, semi-guided hunt, or backcountry drop camp, our team works hard to ensure every guest is prepared, comfortable, and positioned for success in the field.

 Storm Peak Outfitters offers a variety of hunt options across archery, muzzleloader, and rifle seasons, with access to prime public land habitat known for strong elk populations and mature mule deer. Our experienced guides have extensive knowledge of the area’s terrain, migration patterns, and hunting tactics specific to the high country of the San Juan Mountains.

 Clients enjoy comfortable lodging, hearty meals, and a welcoming camp atmosphere where stories from the day’s hunt are shared each evening.
